Optimization challenge to build something inspired by real world.

What it does

It enables the city officials to visualise planning and it's impact in real time.

How we built it

We utilized advanced genetic algortihms and mathematic modeling to build planning suggesting tools. WPF application is used for modelling and effectivness visualisation.

Challenges we ran into

The original solution method we intended to use, linear programming, proved to be less efficient than we had hoped.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We learned a lot about the concept of 15-minute cities and its impact. We are proud that we managed to suggest a theoretic solution concept. Limited by the 24 hours, we only managed so much, but the solution is complex and easily extendable for new constraints.

What we learned

As mentioned above, we've read a lot of scholar papers as well as other internet articles. We also learn to utilize the genetic algorithms and its variations to tackle 15 minutes city problem.
