City Explorers

Inspiration

The inspiration came from me being a last minute travelor. Despite being last minute planning, I still wish to make the most out of my trip. Therefore, I creates an entertainment platform that specifically aim to help people figure out what kind of entertainment they want to do when arriving to the city.

What it does

Essentially, it is a platform where information were collected before hand from the passengers about their preferences on whether or not they are looking for a buddy and where they are interest in visiting. With those information, Vueling will input the information into the app for display when passengers downloads it for their flight. This platforms allow passengers to figure out who they can join and learn more about the entertainments available in the cities they are going to from others. With the information input before the flight, passengers do have to worry about redo the input of the information while struggling and rushing to find internet access in the first place

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was obviously the technical side of launch this platform into a usable form. Given the limited experience in coding, I unfortunately can only have a visual and prototype of the project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Biggest accomplishment was that I manage to produce a completed version of the design for display.

What we learned

I learned that despite that we are requiring more technical skills in all industry but that became a sign of us being more reliance and take for granted for the access to internet. Therefore, having to be challenge to create a platform that are able to run without internet has made me realized that there are lack of resources that people nowaday can access unless we have access to internet.

What's next for City Explorers

City Explorers can be improve on the overall user experience and further extend the platform in order to provide more options to exploring their plan when visiting the city. Additionally, working with someone who has the skills to launch the app into a usable platform will also show a better simulation of how this works.
