Inspiration The inspiration behind the Citadel Hotel Website was to create a modern and luxurious digital platform that reflects the elegance and comfort of a high-end hotel. Many hotel websites lack an engaging user experience or have outdated designs, so the goal was to develop a visually appealing and user-friendly website that allows customers to easily explore hotel services, book rooms, and manage their reservations online. The project was also inspired by real-world hotel booking systems used by leading hospitality brands.

What it does The Citadel Hotel Website serves as a complete hotel information and reservation platform. It allows users to browse available rooms and suites, learn about hotel facilities such as restaurants and spa services, make room reservations, create personal accounts, manage bookings, view payment information, and contact the hotel. The website provides a seamless experience for guests while helping hotel management improve customer engagement and reservation handling.

How we built it The website was built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. HTML was used to structure the web pages and organize content such as room details, booking forms, and user dashboards. CSS was used to create a luxury-themed design with responsive layouts, modern typography, animations, and visual effects. JavaScript was implemented to add interactivity, navigation functionality, form validation, booking features, and user interface enhancements. The project was developed using a modular approach, with separate pages for different hotel services and a consistent design throughout the website.

Challenges we ran into One of the main challenges was designing a professional hotel website that balanced both aesthetics and functionality. Creating a responsive layout that worked properly across different screen sizes required careful planning and testing. Another challenge was organizing multiple pages and features while maintaining smooth navigation and a consistent user experience. Designing realistic booking and account management sections also required attention to detail to ensure they reflected real-world hotel systems.

The website includes multiple functional pages, responsive design, elegant styling, and user-friendly navigation. We are especially proud of the booking system concept, customer dashboard features, and the overall premium appearance achieved through the dark-and-gold design theme. The project demonstrates both technical development skills and an understanding of modern web design principles.

What we learned Through this project, we gained valuable experience in front-end web development, responsive web design, user interface design, and website planning. We learned how to structure large-scale websites, improve user experience through effective navigation, and apply modern design techniques to create a professional appearance. We also developed better problem-solving skills by overcoming layout, responsiveness, and feature integration challenges throughout the development process.
