Inspiration
Nowadays, it is common to hear about children learning to code at younger and younger ages, but what about electronics? Cirkids is designed to make learning about circuits easier and more accessible. It's goal is to teach today's youth about circuits, specifically how resistors affect the flow of current in a circuit.
What it does do
Cirkids has a series of blocks which you can insert into the template circuit. Placing the "battery" block in the battery position turns on the circuit, and LEDs flash back and forth, symbolizing moving electrons. Placing "resistor" blocks in the resistor positions allow you to see how added resistance slows down or speeds up the rate at which electrons flow. This design is gives the children to learn introductory concepts, without the hassle of small parts and burnt out LEDs. Cirkids also has a chalkboard surface for more interactive fun.
