The Problem
AI and tech are moving faster than anyone can track. Right now, staying updated means bouncing between dozens of scattered sources - Twitter/X threads, subreddits, newsletters, GitHub trending, hackathon platforms, job boards, and VC blogs - just to catch what's relevant.
Who's affected: Students, developers, founders, and researchers trying to keep up with AI/tech - especially those looking for internships, hackathons, funding news, or emerging tools.
Why it matters: Missing the right opportunity (an internship posting, a hackathon deadline, a funding round that signals where the industry is heading) has real career and business costs. The information exists - it's just buried across too many disconnected feeds.
Why existing solutions fall short: Generic news aggregators dump everything without context or relevance scoring. Job boards don't surface hackathons. Hackathon platforms don't surface funding news. Nothing ties the entire AI/tech ecosystem - news, research, tools, opportunities - into one signal-ranked feed.
The Solution
CircuitFeed is "the AI layer for AI and tech" - a single platform that aggregates everything happening across the AI/tech world: news, GitHub projects, funding announcements, hackathons, events, and internships/opportunities - and uses an AI-based relevance system called CircuitScore to surface what actually matters instead of dumping a raw firehose of content.
Instead of a user manually monitoring 130+ sources, CircuitFeed ingests them continuously and lets AI do the filtering and scoring, so builders spend time acting on opportunities instead of hunting for them.
Who uses it: Students hunting for internships/hackathons, developers wanting to track emerging tools and GitHub projects, and founders wanting a pulse on funding and industry news - all in one place.
What's different: Most competitors solve one slice (just news, or just jobs, or just hackathons). CircuitFeed's interdisciplinary aggregation plus AI-driven scoring is what makes it a layer over the ecosystem, not just another feed.
Innovation & Uniqueness
- CircuitScore: an AI-based scoring mechanism that ranks incoming content (news, projects, opportunities) by relevance rather than just chronology - the core differentiator versus generic aggregators.
- Category convergence: no other platform combines AI news, GitHub launches, funding, hackathons, events, and internships into a single feed - each of these usually lives on a separate, disconnected platform.
- Built for builders, not just readers: the product is oriented around action (apply, join, build) rather than passive consumption.
Project Presentation
- Expected users: students, early-career developers, and founders in the AI/tech space
- Implementation: currently a working, bootstrapped platform - built solo, pre-launch
- Resources required: content ingestion pipelines (RSS + APIs), AI scoring models, and a lightweight web frontend
- Challenges: maintaining source coverage and scoring accuracy as the ecosystem grows; standing out in a crowded aggregator space
- Expected outcome: a go-to discovery layer that reduces the time cost of "staying current" in AI/tech to near zero
Current Status
CircuitFeed is bootstrapped and pre-launch, already aggregating real content at scale, with an active brand presence across Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, and X.
