Inspiration
I wanted to create a tool that helps Twitch streamers support each other and grow their communities by showcasing friends and collaborators. While collaboration is important, I also recognize the value of engaging directly with each streamer’s own community. To enhance this, I added a feature where viewers can join the list by contributing bits, creating an interactive way for audiences to connect and support their favorite streamers.
What it does
My Circle is a Twitch Extension that displays a streamer’s curated list of friends and collaborators in the About section below their stream. Viewers can exchange bits to get featured, with options for daily, weekly, or monthly placements, enhancing visibility and engagement.
How we built it
Challenges we ran into
I planned this extension a while ago and even created a prototype, so I had a clear vision of what I wanted and how to accomplish it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm proud to have completed the extension in time for the hackathon and to have successfully added the bits integration, which I believe will be valuable for both viewers and creators.
What we learned
What's next for Circles
The most important things I want to add next to My Circle are enhanced customization options for the extension’s appearance and design, along with in-stream notifications to improve engagement and interaction during streams.
