Inspiration

Meeting with people in college is difficult, especially with different schedules. Our app makes it fast and easy to meet and video call.

What it does

It takes two people's calendars either imported from Apple/Google calendar or manually entered, and compares it to find the common free hours in between.

How we built it

We built it using SwiftUI on XCode and used Adobe XD for design. We have a database of users in Firebase and used cocoapods and Google and Apple APIs.

Challenges we ran into

There is a lack of documentation for SwiftUI as it is fairly new. Since it is fairly new, using older APIs from Google became much more difficult as it was not documented how to use it for the new version.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Despite our challenges, we made huge progress on our app and even though we have a long way to go, we are proud of the strength we showed as a team by not giving up.

What we learned

We learned how to use SwiftUI to make an app. Additionally, we also learned the importance of collaboration and perseverance.

What's next for Circal

We hope to be able to implement the algorithm our teammates created to calculate free times. Additionally, we want to add a functional friending feature.
