Inspiration
The most expensive creative mistakes often happen before a camera rolls. A strong idea gets diluted across disconnected research tabs, moodboards, treatments, feasibility notes and AI chats. Independent filmmakers need the rigor of a studio development room without adding weeks of overhead or surrendering authorship.
CINEOPS // RESONANCE is designed to preserve the filmmaker's intent while making narrative, visual, sonic and operational decisions clearer, more feasible and grounded in current evidence.
What it does
A filmmaker enters a production brief plus format, duration and production scale. CINEOPS executes a six-stage production-intelligence workflow:
- Brief Director — turns intent into an audience promise, dramatic question and creative non-negotiables.
- Live Intelligence — integrates Parallel Search to build a traceable evidence ledger from current web results.
- Narrative Architect — develops the thesis, escalation and symbolic spine.
- Production Planner — converts the concept into a feasible production system and risk map.
- Sonic + Visual Director — defines camera language, visual motifs, color progression and BPM arc.
- Greenlight Synthesis — reconciles specialist outputs into one production-ready dossier.
The result is a structured creative dossier rather than an unstructured chat transcript: core thesis, visual arc, sonic arc, production feasibility, concrete deliverables and evidence references share the same state.
How we built it
The public experience is a responsive TypeScript and React application. Its same-origin API validates the brief and proxies requests without exposing runtime secrets.
The AI runtime is implemented as a Node.js service designed for Google Cloud Run. Gemini specialist agents are orchestrated with Google's Agent Development Kit. ParallelAgent runs Narrative, Production and Sonic + Visual specialists concurrently, while SequentialAgent ensures brief interpretation happens first and Greenlight Synthesis only begins after specialist work is complete.
The service integrates Parallel through the official parallel-web SDK. Returned research evidence is converted into shared workflow state so specialist recommendations can remain grounded and traceable. Final Gemini output is schema-validated before the original evidence ledger is attached to the dossier.
The public interface explicitly distinguishes live execution from its transparent fallback demo state. Sample output is never presented as live API work. Final Cloud Run deployment and end-to-end live verification remain release gates before final submission.
Challenges
Google ADK expects a full Node server runtime while the public experience layer is edge-compatible, so the system separates presentation from agent execution. A second challenge is provenance: generative recommendations can appear authoritative even when evidence is weak. CINEOPS therefore treats the evidence ledger as a product primitive and preserves source references through synthesis.
The third challenge is making a multi-agent system behave like a production process rather than a collection of personas. Explicit contracts, concurrent specialist execution and deterministic synthesis create a coherent production workflow.

What's next
The immediate release gate is deploying the agent service to Google Cloud Run, verifying mode: live, capturing an end-to-end run, and recording the required three-minute demo. Longer-term additions include persistent productions, versioned dossiers, treatment and production-packet exports, approval controls for evidence sources, and budget/scheduling/location-planning connectors.
