  CineKod Main Interface: The Spark

Inspiration

The pre-production phase of a film often takes weeks, bogging down indie filmmakers in logistical friction. CineKod was born to solve this bottleneck: what if we could compress weeks of screenwriting, shot breakdowns, and budgeting into mere minutes?

What it does

CineKod is an autonomous film pre-production platform that utilizes a 3-Agent AI Relay:

• Scriptwriter Agent: Transforms raw premises into industry-formatted screenplays, character profiles, and scene outlines.
• Director Agent: Analyzes the script to generate technical shot breakdowns, including camera movement, lenses, and lighting specifications.
• Producer Agent: Calculates logistics, crew requirements, and outputs a realistic line-item budget. Everything culminates in a Master Blueprint that exports into a clean, investor-ready PDF document.

How we built it

The entire application was engineered efficiently on Replit. The frontend is built with React and TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS, and animated smoothly using Framer Motion to achieve a premium Bento Grid aesthetic. At its core, the logic is powered by the Google Gemini API, utilizing a Single-Pass Rendering architecture to fetch and render script data simultaneously in a clean DOM cycle.

Challenges we ran into

Our initial ambition included a fully integrated Video Generation pipeline. However, operating within a hackathon environment with API quota limitations meant the live video generation couldn't be processed in real-time. Instead of presenting a broken feature, we implemented a graceful fallback. We focused heavily on locking in the textual foundation—because without a precise script and structured shot list, no AI video generator will produce accurate cinematography. The video-calling frameworks remain in the codebase, ready to be activated in a production environment.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a complex multi-agent pipeline that formats raw data into an interactive, highly responsive immersive UI. The seamless one-click export that bypasses browser limitations to create a multi-page professional PDF blueprint is a massive win for practical usability.

What's next for CineKod

Activating the dormant video generation modules once production quotas are secured, and scaling the system into a commercially viable SaaS for the indie filmmaking community.
