Inspiration
Small film teams often lose creative intent between a screenplay note and the separate documents used by camera, performance, sound, and VFX collaborators. CineForge creates one browser-based checkpoint that turns a director's intent into a concrete packet without requiring a local development environment.
What it does
CineForge accepts a scene and director instruction, then produces one review packet covering dialogue delivery, lens choice, camera movement, lighting, sound, and visual staging. It creates a clearly labeled in-session review snapshot and exposes the actual Replit runtime and deployment state.
How we built it
FastAPI for the compact web application .replit and replit.nix for one-click execution Google GenAI SDK with Gemini 3.7 Flash and a Vertex AI configuration path Replit Agent for the snapshot retrieval endpoint, UI status, and regression coverage Replit Publishing for the final public replit.app deployment
The published Replit application runs Gemini 3.7 Flash live through an authenticated Cloud Run relay and Vertex AI. Runtime health exposes the real Replit publishing state and provider mode; live failures do not silently become demo success. A fixed 56-second Veo/Lyria film is supplemental pre-generated evidence, not generated inside the Replit request path.
Challenges
The first implementation overstated platform behavior with simulated collaborators and invented branch-preview URLs. We removed those claims, replaced them with honest in-memory review snapshots, and exposed only runtime evidence the process can prove.
Accomplishments
Authentic Replit Agent development evidence Public replit.app deployment with runtime health evidence 31 passing automated tests Bounded in-session snapshot retrieval Public MIT-licensed, secret-scanned repository Public sub-three-minute application demo with English captions
What we learned
Platform evidence is part of product design. A judge benefits more from an app that shows where it runs and which mode produced a result than from an unsupported cloud-ready badge.
What's next
Durable review packets, authenticated project rooms, exportable shot lists, and real-time presence.
Judge it
Open the public Replit app, enter a scene and director note, generate the packet, retrieve its in-session snapshot, revise the direction, and run the flow again.

This fixed, pre-generated Veo 3.1 Fast + Lyria 3 Pro reel demonstrates seven-shot geographic and character continuity. It was not generated by Replit Agent or inside the live CineForge request path; authentic Replit development and deployment evidence are shown separately.
