Inspiration
Pre-production is one of the most time-consuming phases of filmmaking. Manual script breakdowns, scene visualization, and safety compliance checks can take days or weeks for indie creators and production teams. We wanted to build a seamless multi-agent system that turns raw screenplays into structured, actionable production assets instantly.
What it does
CineAgent Studio processes screenplay text using a specialized multi-agent workflow:
- Script Breakdown Agent: Automatically extracts key metadata including characters, locations, lighting, mood, and required props.
- Storyboard Visuals Engine: Generates shot-by-shot directions with camera framing, movements, visual descriptions, and prompt ideas.
- Continuity & Safety Agent: Scans scenes for production hazards, stunt safety risks, and continuity issues before shooting begins.
How we built it
- Frontend: Next.js 14 (App Router) with Tailwind CSS for a modern, high-contrast dark theme.
- Icons: Lucide React for intuitive cinema UI elements.
- AI Architecture: Multi-agent orchestration designed to parse screenplays into structured JSON.
- Deployment: Netlify & GitHub.
Challenges we ran into
Handling edge cases in unstructured script text and organizing agent outputs into clear, readable UI panels without cluttering the screen.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Building a responsive, real-time agentic pre-production interface that allows filmmakers to export complete production plans as JSON in one click.
