Inspiration
As a kid I always wanted to exploit systems and break into things. Hacking was fun, really. But why should hackers have all the fun? After watching the Snowden leaks happen at age 10, I was fascinated yet terrified of the prospect of something like that happening to me. That was the turning point of my mentality from offense as a tool to cause harm, to offense as the best defensive strategy.
What it does
It uses flow control analysis as means to identify origin of network packets for the firewall and uses the signature detection based heuristic techniques for malware identification and eradication
How we built it
Using C++ and coffee
Challenges we ran into
I could not get it to work on windows after 24H1 and it was such a big problem, all good now though.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Making it work on 24H1
What we learned
That security is easier when you are the attacker
What's next for Cinderblock
I have no clue, lets see
