Inspiration

We took inspiration from two of the "tracks" given for this hackathon. These being AI and Social Good.

What it does

A user writes out their sickness symptoms in a natural manner, and after some time, they are given their likely sicknesses and multiple kinds of remedies they can use.

How we built it

We used React with a Python backend, and Google Gemini to base and build our predictive model on.

Challenges we ran into

We had a lot of trouble connecting the backend and frontend together, as well as building a specialized model for this project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to create all of the code and web pages manually, with minimum AI-generated content.

What we learned

We have learned how to connect different systems together in an efficient way, whist of course learning valuable teamwork skills.

What's next for SickAssist

Further refine the dataset and model to increase accuracy. We could always add more features too.
