Inspiration
Generative AI is becoming part of everyday creative work, but finding good prompts is still surprisingly difficult. Useful prompts are scattered across social media, communities, websites, and personal collections.
We wanted to create a dedicated place where people could discover useful prompts visually, understand how they are used, and reuse them without having to search through scattered sources.
That idea became Cifzy.
What it does
Cifzy is an AI prompt discovery and sharing platform.
Users can discover and explore prompts through a visual experience, search for specific prompts, browse by AI model and category, view prompt details and examples, copy prompts for their own workflows, and share their own prompts with the community.
Cifzy is designed to support prompts across different generative AI use cases, including image, text, video, audio, and other emerging AI workflows.
How I built it
Cifzy is built as a modern web application using Laravel, PHP, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, and MySQL.
The platform is structured around prompts, AI models, categories, creators, and user interactions. This allows the same prompt content to be discovered through different paths instead of relying only on traditional search.
A major part of the development focused on creating a simple visual discovery experience where users can quickly understand a prompt and decide whether it is useful to them.
Challenges I ran into
One of the biggest challenges was figuring out how to make a growing collection of prompts feel useful rather than turning Cifzy into another static prompt directory.
Not every prompt is useful to every person, so discovery needs to consider context, AI models, categories, creators, and user interactions.
Another challenge was balancing information with simplicity. A prompt page can contain a lot of information, but the user should still be able to quickly understand the prompt, see its example, and copy it without unnecessary complexity.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm proud of turning a simple idea into a working platform where AI prompts can be discovered, explored, copied, and shared in one dedicated experience.
I'm also proud of building the foundation for a platform that can grow beyond a simple collection of prompts and support different AI models, prompt types, creators, and discovery experiences over time.
Most importantly, Cifzy is live and available for people to use and explore.
What I learned
Building Cifzy taught me that creating an AI-focused product is not only about integrating AI.
The organization and presentation of information can be just as important. A useful prompt becomes much more valuable when people can actually discover it, understand its context, and reuse it easily.
I also learned that building a discovery platform requires thinking about both sides of the experience: the people creating and sharing content, and the people searching for something useful.
What's next for Cifzy
Cifzy is still at an early stage, and there is a lot more to build.
The next steps include improving prompt discovery and personalization, making creator experiences better, expanding support for AI models and prompt types, and building better ways for users to organize and interact with the prompts they find.
The long-term goal is to make Cifzy a useful discovery layer for the rapidly growing world of generative AI prompts.
