Inspiration
Around the world, people share opinions every day—online, in communities, classrooms, and organizations. However, these voices often turn into noise instead of clarity. Important decisions are made based on bias, emotion, or incomplete understanding.
We were inspired by this growing gap between collective voices and collective understanding. With the rise of advanced AI like Gemini 3, we saw an opportunity to help communities think better together instead of louder apart.
What it does
CI-OS (Community Consensus Builder) is an AI-powered system that analyzes group opinions and transforms them into clear, structured insights.
It takes multiple viewpoints as input and uses Gemini 3 to:
- Identify common themes
- Highlight areas of consensus
- Detect disagreements
- Generate neutral, actionable summaries
The goal is not to replace human decision-making, but to support it with clarity and fairness.
How we built it
The project was built as a prototype and concept demo focusing on reasoning and explainability rather than heavy infrastructure.
We designed a simple flow where:
- Users submit opinions or ideas
- Gemini 3 analyzes the content using multi-step reasoning
- The system outputs consensus, disagreements, and suggested actions
The interface and demo were designed using visual storytelling to clearly show how Gemini 3 powers the system’s intelligence.
Challenges we faced
One of the main challenges was ensuring neutrality and avoiding bias in summarizing opinions. Another challenge was simplifying a large societal problem into a clear, realistic MVP suitable for a hackathon.
Balancing ambition with feasibility was key.
What we learned
This project showed us how powerful advanced AI can be when used responsibly. We learned that clarity, structure, and ethical design matter just as much as technology.
CI-OS demonstrates how Gemini 3 can support collective intelligence and better decision-making at scale.
