Inspiration
Provides timely reminders on how to save money and suggest new habits in a simplified Chrome Extension that simplifies acccess
What it does
Our Chrome extension acts as a member-driven financial co-pilot. It prompts users at checkout to use their CU benefits (low-rate loans, cashback, etc.), maximizing savings. It helps users define their own financial goals (like saving $1000 or keeping spending under $1000 monthly). It shows how purchases impact those goals in real-time and lets users track, revise, or set new goals through a dashboard. All nudges are pre-authorized and personalized, so the CU is executing member requests, not giving risky “advice.”
How we built it
We asked Sound Credit Union to better understand their tech stack then finalized and hammered out designs (figma) and ideas we were able to think through the different tools and then used Claude to help prototype quickly
Challenges we ran into
Timing to turn ideation into development faster
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Built a prototype backend
What we learned
Frameworks to present
What's next for CI
-Frontend (redo) -Authentication: Auth0 for secure, compliant login and token management. then looking into sound Credit Union Integration: Placeholder endpoints for Jack Henry (CU core) and data warehouse APIs—the design is ready for production integration.
