In a world overflowing with online content, we were driven to create a tool that makes information accessible and digestible for everyone, regardless of age, tech skills, or ability. The inspiration for Web-to-Go came from the desire to simplify web content and empower users to engage with information effortlessly.

The Web-to-Go Chrome extension reads websites, summarizes the content, and creates an audio playback for users. This tool makes the web accessible and digestible for everyone, saving valuable time and enabling users to focus on life beyond the screen.

How We Built It

From the outset, we envisioned a Chrome extension capable of summarizing any webpage's content in real time. We integrated natural language processing to extract web pages' core essence while preserving context and key details. The development process also emphasized accessibility by adding text-to-speech functionality and user-friendly layouts.

Challenges We Ran Into

One of the biggest challenges was balancing concise, meaningful summaries with maintaining the integrity of the original content. Ensuring accuracy and readability while optimizing real-time performance was technically demanding. Additionally, incorporating thoughtful accessibility features, such as screen reader compatibility and visually accessible designs, required careful iteration to avoid unnecessary complexity.
