Inspiration
The idea came from imagining what the universe would sound like if the first photon could speak. I wanted to blend science, poetry, and emotion into a single cosmic perspective.
What it does
It tells the story of the universe through the eyes of a single photon, from the birth of stars to the rise of life, using AI-generated visuals and a poetic narrator.
How we built it
I created the narration and visuals using AI tools, then edited, timed, graded, and sound-designed everything entirely inside CapCut to form a complete cinematic short.
Challenges we ran into
Balancing poetic narration with scientific imagery was tricky, and achieving smooth, coherent transitions from AI-generated clips required careful editing and timing inside CapCut.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I’m proud that the film delivers emotional depth using only AI imagery and a single narrator voice, and that the entire production was completed end-to-end in CapCut.
What we learned
I learned how powerful minimalist tools can be when paired with strong storytelling, and how much creative control is possible with CapCut when handling AI-generated assets.
What's next for Chroma Echoes of the First Light
I plan to extend it into a series exploring other cosmic perspectives, neutrinos, dark matter, gravity waves, each with its own voice and story.
