Inspiration

I’ve had dyslexia and ADHD since early on, which makes it hard for me to read long texts. I end up waiting for a chatbot to finish before scrolling to the conclusion part (often still doesn't answer my question).

So I’d always prompt it with “answer in 1–2 sentences,” but doing that every time adds cognitive load just to get some answer. I knew I wasn’t the only one feeling this—and that’s exactly where the idea for ChopChop came from.

‎

What it does

ChopChop gives instant, short answers just type a question or keywords, and get a clear 1-2 sentence answer. Want more? just tab! tab! like vibing through knowledge without the typing.

How we built it

Less Is More ChopChop was built for speed, focusing on time optimization. Every detail was rethought to cut time-to-answer, with a clean, intuitive interface.

Challenges we ran into

Accuracy was the biggest challenge, especially when giving short, confident answers. Perplexity API, is a great answer for ChopChop!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

While hanging out with friends, random questions would come up. I’d grab my phone, ChopChop it, and get an instant answer. They were amazed—and now they love ChopChop-ing too!

What we learned

Small differences can make a big impact, especially in cognitive overload. ChopChop helped me appreciate how simplicity can ease the mental effort of everyday search.

What's next for ChopChop!

Long-term, I want to keep optimizing human cognitive load, building tools that feel effortless to use. In the short term, I’ll keep refining features like images and quick utilities—ChopChop is just the beginning.
