Inspiration

My inspiration for ChooseAdventura stemmed from a deep nostalgia for classic "Choose Your Own Adventure" books and a fascination with how player choices can truly shape a narrative.

What it does

ChooseAdventura is an interactive, text based "Choose Your Own Adventure" game that puts players directly in control of their narrative journey. It allows users to: Experience branching stories: Players read narrative segments and then make choices that directly dictate the plot's direction. Navigate with ease: It includes a "View Journey" feature to review their path, a "Go Back" button to revisit recent decisions, and a "Restart" option to begin the adventure anew. There is a secret which lead you straight to the mystery ending, try to find it

How I built it

I built ChooseAdventura primarily using Bolt.new, leveraging its capabilities to create an interactive, text-based adventure. The core of the game revolves around presenting narrative segments followed by player choices. I structured the story like a tree, where each decision leads to a different 'node' or segment of the story.

Challenges I ran into

The main challenge was making the AI trying to connect nodes, since a single mistake can make/break the game.

Creating an Interactive story and branching nodes are the main thing that I learnt from this project.
