Inspiration
We were inspired by the fact that Gen Z connect over memes, and as a lot of us at Hack TJ may not know the others in our teams, memes are a good way to bond and to learn more about each other.
What it does
Our web page is a fun-filled and hilarious choose your own adventure story. You're able to move through the scenes (and memes) as if you were the character in the story. It has unique endings for a remarkable experience.
How we built it
We originally tried using HTML to code the full site, then put our heads together and decided that Java Script could work together with HTML to make the site better. Finally, we added CSS to spice it up with some formats and colors.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into a lot of challenges, the first being that we all knew different languages. Eventually we found that we all knew some HTML and some of use knew some Java script. With a little googling, we were able to learn enough Java Script to get by.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're very proud of the intricate storyline we have written that follows a similar format to an actual choose your own adventure story.
What we learned
We learned a lot of Java Script from Google. We also learned about useful platforms like Github and Virtual Studio Live Share.
What's next for Choose Your Own Adventure Meme Edition
Our next step is to expand our story further and incorporate even more endings. We also need to add more style and formats with CSS so our site will look great. We also want to make our code more efficient.
