Hello, I am Nicole Garcia and I will be representing my group today. My fellow members are Luiza Silva, Sarah Galindo, and Catalina Rodriguez. And We are the creators behind Chompfolio—a platform designed to help UF students connect, collaborate, and grow within the creative community. When exploring the concept of Reimagining Community, we wanted to build something that encourages engagement between students and alumni in creative industries. We noticed that Existing platforms lacked opportunities for students to showcase their work while receiving meaningful feedback. This led to the creation of Chompfolio—a space where students don’t just post projects but actively participate, exchange ideas, and form lasting connections. Our homepage introduces Chompfolio through three key features. The Featured Projects slider highlights creativeworks. The Challenges section promotes skill-building through friendly competition, while the About Us section reinforces our mission: fostering a collaborative creative network at UF. Navigation is seamless, making it easy for users to explore different sections. The Projects page serves as a hub for students to share their best work, browse peer submissions, and stay updated on design trends. Custom tags make projects more discoverable and engaging. On the Challenges page, students can participate in monthly design challenges to refine their skills and expand their portfolios. By submitting projects and receiving peer feedback, they gain valuable insights and motivation to push their creativity further. The Events page connects students to design competitions, club meetings, and networking opportunities, helping them form meaningful professional relationships. Finally, the Forums page is where collaboration thrives. Students can post questions, seek advice, and request feedback using tags like Feedback or Advice to spark constructive discussions. To post a forum, simply click on the notebook. And Clicking on a forum post takes users to a dedicated page where they can comment and view other students’ profiles. Currently, we’re browsing as a guest, but logging in is simple. Students can access their accounts anytime by the drop-down menu in the top-right corner. To demonstrate the profile editing feature, we’ve logged into my account. Here, i can update my name and About section, and with one click of the Save button, my profile is updated. Each profile includes user-shared information, past posts, and a link to their LinkedIn. Due to time constraints, we couldn’t fully implement certain features, such as the ability to create a post directly within the platform. However, Chompfolio is more than just a website—it’s a thriving, supportive community where students can grow together, refine their craft, and inspire one another. Whether seeking feedback, sharing ideas, or showcasing their work, Chompfolio empowers students to build lasting connections in the creative field.
