Inspiration
We all have purchased chocolates and other products to help our favorite local charities, charities sell products to create awareness and raise funds, but how to know if the money actually goes to the charity? I wanted to provide a tool that could improve transparency to the transaction by enabling charities to easily issue receipts for the amount donated, and allowing donors to accumulate donations and obtain tax receipts.
What it does
Charities can improve their fundraising initiatives by enabling donors to register and obtain receipts for the amount donated, and encourage them to donate more in order to obtain tax receipts.
How we built it
Enable Charities to use Square API to issue Gift Cards, and use those cards to track the donates amount, The Mobile APP provides the interface to authorize the creation of Gift Cards, and generate a QR Code to a URL that hosts a form where donors can enter their name and email Use Make and Tadabase database to host the forms, process the Square authorization and generate the Gift Cards.
