Inspiration It comes from my chiildhood where i am not able to understand the doctors prescription and not able to undersatnad medicines.. also cant't remeber medicine dosage
What it does . It can suggest medicine as per your present condition and also it can analyze the prescription and suggest dosage and precaution .how much time it should take .. Also it can suggest medicine as per your condition as per your Age
How we built it . We built Chikitsak as a full-stack web application form html css and java script and backend from node js The core intelligence is powered by the Gemini API, which handles the complex Natural Language Processing (NLP) and image analysis for medical documents. The frontend is designed to be clean and accessible for users of all age groups.
Challenges we ran into
Handwriting Recognition: Deciphering diverse and often messy medical handwriting was a significant hurdle. We had to fine-tune our prompts to ensure high accuracy.
Medical Accuracy: Ensuring the AI doesn't "hallucinate" was critical. We implemented strict system instructions to keep suggestions within safe, standard medical boundaries.
Contextual Logic: Building logic that adjusts suggestions based on age (pediatric vs. geriatric care) required careful data structuring.
