Inspiration
Inspiration for Chirpie struck when team members shared their passion for social goods. One highlighted the pressing issue of food insecurity, while another expressed a deep desire to aid in managing the influx of data from asylum and refugee seekers.
What it Does
Chirpie is an innovative system designed to efficiently address the immediate needs of asylum seekers. By categorizing open-ended responses to pre-crafted questions, the API assesses crucial areas such as food security, health, shelter, education, employment, legal assistance, and livelihood/self-reliance. Each need receives a rating (low, medium, high, or critical), providing a comprehensive understanding of urgency and necessity. Aiding local organizations to streamline the process in enhancing their ability to assess and strategically allocate resources effectively.
How We Built It
We utilized OpenAI for Chirpie's development, though time constraints led to an overall result that awaits completion.
Challenges We Ran Into
Our main challenge was fine-tuning the API to run exactly as we envisioned.
