Inspiration

While working across startups and larger companies, we repeatedly saw teams struggle to adapt technology to the way they actually operate. Existing products were often too rigid, while custom implementation required more time, expertise, and resources than smaller organizations could afford.

What it does

CHIPS—Cloud and Hardware Integration Platform for Small Software—helps organizations adapt and implement technology for their specific needs. It uses AI agents to simplify the work involved in connecting products, systems, devices, and customer requirements.

How we built it

We created an agent-driven platform that can understand implementation requirements and coordinate the steps needed to deliver a working solution. CHIPS is designed to support products that combine software, hardware, cloud services, and existing business systems.

Challenges we ran into

Our primary challenge was balancing flexibility with safety and reliability. Customer environments vary significantly, so CHIPS must accommodate different requirements while keeping implementations controlled, maintainable, and understandable.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a working foundation for an agentic implementation platform that can serve both product vendors and their customers. We are especially proud of creating an approach that is broad enough to support different products and industries without being limited to a single type of technology.

What we learned

We learned that building a product is often easier than successfully implementing it in a real organization. The largest gaps frequently appear in understanding requirements, adapting to existing environments, and coordinating all the pieces needed to make a solution useful.

What's next for CHIPS

Next, we plan to test CHIPS with more products, environments, and implementation scenarios. Our long-term goal is to make sophisticated technology easier for organizations to adopt, customize, and operate.
