Inspiration

The idea for Chioset was born out of the daily struggle of deciding what to wear, especially when factoring in weather conditions, occasion, and personal style. We wanted to create a solution that not only saves time but also makes dressing up more fun and interactive. The integration of Augmented Reality was inspired by the desire to let users visualize their outfits in real-time, bridging the gap between imagination and reality.

What it does

Chioset simplifies dressing decisions by recommending weather-appropriate outfits using your wardrobe data. It categorizes your clothes, considers local weather, and generates a personalized “Outfit of the Day.” With Augmented Reality, users can virtually try on outfits to see how they look, making the process intuitive and engaging.

How we built it

We developed Chioset as a full-stack application using React.js for the front end and Node.js for the backend. The AR feature leverages tensorflow for real-time visualization. The weather integration uses an API to fetch live conditions, while a mongoDB database stores wardrobe data, including images, attributes, and metadata.

Challenges we ran into

Incorporating AR technology was a significant challenge due to its complexity.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud of integrating AR into the platform, making it functional.

What we learned

Although the hackathon was short, we were able to integrate many new technologies into our project, especially the AR feature.

What's next for Chioset

Moving forward, we aim to enhance the AR experience by integrating Outfit Anyone to get a more accurate 'try on' experience
