Inspiration

We wanted to help small businesses and local youth and/or others that are trying to save money.

What it does

Chinatown Explorer is a website for finding food in Chinatown on a budget.

How we built it

We started in v0 to create the basic website and then customized it in Cursor. We also integrated ChatGPT to find more local food that fits for the given budget.

Challenges we ran into

We had trouble coming up with an idea in the beginning. All of us had little to no coding experience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully created a website that uses AI to provide users with items that they can potentially purchase.

What we learned

We learned how to deploy a local version of our website on our own computers using npm run dev and how the frontend, backend, framework and local deployment works.

What's next for Chinatown Explorer

We plan on turning the website into an app, adding more prices, increasing the price range, and adding items outside of food for sale.
