Inspiration

Our inspiration for Chimp House comes from the idea of making a artsy community space among the mountains of Himachal, where creators can come and collaborate to create some value. We want a place where technologists, techies, artists, musicians, creators, investors can call it home.

What it does

Chimp House Offers limited Hipostel NFTs, which can minted FREE (on testnet). We'll soon enable staking mechanism for NFT holders to accumulated HIP ERC20 tokens. These tokens and other funds will be used to govern the Chimp House development using DAO mechanism, and therein will be used to buy in house assets and services in real.

How we built it

We created Mandala based graphic using Procreate and Amaziograph and ran a python script to produce colorful collectibles of beatiful Hippy Mandala theme. We used OpenZeppelin ERC721 contracts, IPFS and Pinata to digitize our assets as NFTs. We also used OZ ERC20 and Governor Contract to develop HIP token ecosystem. We have built the frontend with Vite's React TypeScript Template, shadcn/ui, Radix UI, TailwindCSS & Framer Motion.

Challenges we ran into

During the development of Chimp House, we majorly faced challenges related to designing an intuitive user interface and ensuring the security and integrity of smart contracts. Understanding Governor Smart-contract to enable the DAO for Chimp House was the most time consuming of all.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have initiated a decentralised Chimp House Project. We have successfully deployed our non-fungible token, fungible token smart-contract that enables the Chimp House DAO together with OpenZeppelin Governance Smart-contract on Fantom(FTM) Testnet.

What we learned

Through the development of Chimp House, we gained valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of merging blockchain and community. We deepened our understanding of blockchain technology, smart contract development, and community-driven ecosystems.

What's next for Chimp House

Looking ahead, we have an exciting roadmap for Chimp House. Our plan is to accumulate the like minded people and bootstrap the project. We'll leverage blockchain technology to ensure the transparency and decentralisation of Chimp House. We'll collaborate with other like minded people and develop the Chimp House together by releasing exclusive secure digital assets which can be used both digitally and in real life
