Inspired by the Bollywood film "English Vinglish", Chime is a gentle, AI-powered English learning web app designed to help non-native English speakers build confidence in pronunciation and spoken communication; privately, accessibly and without fear of embarrassment.
We built Chime for The Bell Foundation, a charity dedicated to improving outcomes for people who speak English as an Additional Language (EAL). The project is inspired by the idea that learning a language should feel like a chime, soft, encouraging and supportive, rather than loud or intimidating.
