Inspiration

Vietnam’s automotive market is booming with over 625,000 new registrations in 2025 alone, yet the carwash industry remains "stuck in the past." With 10,000+ fragmented, manual locations, car owners face a "painful" experience: long queues, inconsistent quality, and cash-only payments.

As Tasco moves toward a One-Stop Shop mobility ecosystem, we saw a golden opportunity: Transforming the high-frequency carwash touchpoint into a digital gateway that connects 4 million VETC users to a standardized care network.

What it does

Chilly Rinse is an Asset-Light Platform that standardizes and digitalizes the carwash journey through three core pillars:

Smart Hardware Integration: Providing IoT-enabled wash kits and automated tunnels to partner locations to ensure 100% quality consistency.

Centralized Management Platform: A "Brain" for operators to manage revenue, staff, and chemicals in real-time, eliminating leakage.

Seamless Consumer App: Integrated directly into the VETC/Tasco ecosystem, allowing users to:

Check real-time slot availability (AI-powered scheduling).

Automatic Payment: Drive-in, Wash, and Drive-out with auto-deduction from VETC accounts (LPR Technology).

How we built it

We utilized a cutting-edge tech stack to ensure high stability (as requested by Tasco):

AI & Low-code: Leveraged Vibecode and OpenAI Codex to rapidly prototype the core logic and microservices.

Computer Vision (LPR): Built a license plate recognition module to trigger automated payments via VETC API.

Frontend: Developed a sleek, user-centric interface focused on the "3-click journey" (Find - Book - Pay).

Business Logic: Designed a subscription-based model and unit economics to fit the $500,000 Venture Building criteria.

Challenges we ran into

Standardizing the "Unstandardized": Mapping out a universal quality control process for different types of carwash hardware across 3,000 locations.

VETC API Integration: Designing a secure, low-latency payment handshake that works in under 2 seconds to prevent congestion at the wash bay.

Real-time Data Sync: Ensuring the IoT hardware and the cloud platform stay synced in areas with unstable internet.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Ready-to-Launch MVP: Successfully built a functional prototype that can demonstrate the full "User - Operator - Tasco" loop within 36 hours.

Synergy Optimization: Creating a solution that doesn't just "wash cars" but increases the Daily Active Users (DAU) for the VETC app.

Scalability: A business model that justifies the $500,000 investment by aiming for 3,000 locations by year-end 2026.

What we learned

Mobility is about Time: We realized that we aren't selling "clean cars"; we are selling "saved time" for busy urban owners.

Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS): Understanding how to lower the entry barrier for traditional carwash owners by providing tech-enabled kits.

Ecosystem Power: How a single high-frequency service (carwash) can act as a "hook" for higher-value services like insurance (Tasco Insurance) and car trading (Carpla).
