The website will provide a study room for students, with intermittent campfire sound. The choice of color is based on psychological facts, which mainly aim for improving student study productivity.
Inspiration: The main inspiration of the project is my personal experience of a studying environment, which, in fact, some psychologists approve.
What it does: The project gives students a personal, private-feeling room, with the campfire sound at the back. The instrumental goal is to provide a relaxing and productivity-enhancing environment. Also, it does include some notes for students.
How I built it: I used Spline as the backbone of the project, which is the interactive background to make it look interesting. It is used for creating 3D objects, providing templates and movements of such objects. HTML simple tags are used to make the Spline project as background, as well as embedding the music. Python is used for back-end programming.
Challenges I ran into: When applying the method to create a to-do list, my application crashed down and I had to turn it back to the simplest form.
Accomplishments that I am proud of: The 3D objects and their movements.
What I learned: The first Hackathon get me to understand that I am still inexperienced when coming to solving such problems.
What's next for Chilling Study Room! More built-in tools and a more interactive webpage. I intend to implement a to-do list. When students click on the sticky note, they will be able to make one themselves. Another idea is to provide a sleep calculator when they click onto the bed.
