Inspiration

I know its a quirk of mine but when I’m overwhelmed and stuck, solving math problems helps me feel capable and calm, just the feeling of the pen and paper and being able to see a result. But manually searching for them was becoming just another stress. So, I decided to make an app that brings me that sense of chill and problem-solving power whenever I need it. That’s how Zenculator was born. So then, I just thought—why not make it into an app for myself? And that’s how Zenculator happened.

What it does

Zenculator gives me a way to relax by solving simple math problems with a pen and paper. The app gives me hints when I’m stuck, explains things when I need help, and at the end, I have to snap a pic of my work to get my relax points. It’s my way of resetting my brain and feeling like I can handle life again.

How we built it

Using bolt and just vibing to it

Challenges we ran into

simple idea and simple execution, but the audio playback and size was making the sybcking rather hard. I had to compressed the audio files and change the format.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The fact that I could finish the idea and see it in an app. Makes me want to take all my ideas and see them come true.

What we learned

not everything needs to be super complicated or the next ai innovation that will make you a multibillionaire, sometimes just chill ideas should stay chill and for the greater good
