Inspiration
We wanted a music player that doesn’t just play songs but sets a vibe — cozy, minimal, and perfect for relaxing, studying, or chilling with friends. The llamas add a playful, stress-free touch.
What it does
Chill Music Player streams lo-fi and mellow beats in a distraction-free interface. Users can create playlists, set mood timers, and enjoy a whimsical llama-themed experience.
How we built it
We designed the UI in Figma, built the frontend in React, and integrated audio streaming APIs. The llama art was custom-created for a friendly, calming aesthetic.
Challenges we ran into
- Syncing smooth animations with audio controls
- Keeping performance high while streaming HD audio
- Designing an interface that feels minimal but not boring
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- A fully functional, lag-free player
- Aesthetic that makes people smile instantly
- Mood-based playlists that really work for focus and relaxation
What we learned
We learned how much subtle UI details affect user mood and that music and visuals combined can create a stronger emotional impact.
What's next for Chill Music Player
We plan to add AI-driven mood detection, collaborative playlist sharing, and a “chill challenge” mode where friends sync their music sessions.
