ChikChak

Inspiration

The sluggishness of canvas and the amount of click it takes to surf between courses.

What it does

Allows students to view all their notes, from all their courses, on one feed.

How we built it

We used HTML5 to build the framework for the website. Bootstrap library was used to improve design. Domain.com and GitHubPages was used to to host and route the server. Twilio was used for SMS notifications.

Challenges we ran into

Setting up the Twilio integration, GitHubPages domain referencing, and saving info for users.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The UI of the website, the domain name, and the functionality of ChikChak.

What we learned

Javascript is very complicated if you have never used it before. DNS is a headache. Databases are currently a goal.

What's next for ChikChak

Databases and more class customization.
