Inspiration
We wanted to build an personalized app where we can make people who visit Chicago or even Chicago locals more comfortable and knowledgeable of the city in place of tourist guides.
What it does
ChicaGO is an app that personalizes the immersive experience of learning about the city, especially the Loop area, through AI generated audio to describe what each area is about and give recommendations to users on what are some interesting places to visit or where to eat. What we are trying to do different here is give the users the chance to put their own preferences on things like what they like to eat or where do they want to go so they can enjoy their visit or know the city a lot better.
How we built it
We have been using React and JavaScript to work on the front-end works and Django to work on the back-end tasks. Some of the core systems include GPS, Map/Roading System, Fact Library (Database/sqlite3), Filtering based on User Interest
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges we have faces was setting up the platforms we would be using to develop our project idea further Another would be in which direction would we want to take our idea forward. As we work on the project, we will have a clearer idea on which direction to take in regard to the concept.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting our idea to a point that looks nice as well as incorporating the google maps api.

We hope to improve our visuals and provide more audio facts in live time to the user as they explore these areas.
