Inspiration
As someone who has struggled with finding the right makeup products and techniques for my skin type and color, I was inspired to create a platform that would provide personalized recommendations and tutorials for diverse individuals. I also wanted to create an inclusive platform that would cater to people of all ages, budgets, and skill levels.
Learning
During the development process, I learned a lot about advanced technologies such as AI, AR, TTS, STT, and NLP. I also learned about the importance of inclusivity and accessibility in the beauty industry, and the need for platforms that cater to diverse skin types and colors.
Building the Project
To build the project, I first researched and gathered a vast database of makeup products and tools, which would serve as the foundation for Chic's recommendations. Next, I worked on integrating the advanced technologies such as AI, AR, TTS, STT, and NLP, to provide personalized makeup recommendations and tutorials.
I also worked on creating a user-friendly interface that would be easy to navigate and understand, even for beginners. Additionally, I worked on partnerships with makeup brands and retailers to offer a diverse range of products to users, while also earning a commission on each purchase made through the platform.
Challenges
One of the main challenges I faced was sourcing a comprehensive database of makeup products and tools. I had to ensure that the database was accurate, up-to-date, and diverse enough to cater to a wide range of skin types and colors.
Another challenge was integrating the advanced technologies seamlessly into the platform. This required a lot of research and testing to ensure that the recommendations and tutorials were accurate and personalized.
Finally, I had to ensure that the platform was user-friendly and accessible to individuals of all ages and skill levels. This required a lot of feedback and testing to ensure that the platform was easy to navigate and understand.
Overall, building Chic was a challenging but rewarding experience, and I'm excited to see how it will help people feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.
