Chess dNFT

A Smart Contract developed to create and develop chess pieces as NFT and play chess in multiplayer on EVM compatible networks on the blockchain. NFTs can be dynamically upgraded while playing chess.

Inspiration

I thought that the chess game should be dynamically adapted to the blockchain.

What it does

All chess pieces can be created as NFT. These chess pieces can then be upgrade by playing. To create a chess session, 64 individual players go online with different pieces on the chessboard. This moves away from the two-player setup of classic chess and introduces a new gameplay on the blockchain.

How we built it

It can be played on the network where Smart Contract is deployed, by accessing the contract with the blockchain wallet or backend software.

Challenges we ran into

A priori knowledge is required to use contract on the blockchain. And the gas fees of the connected network should be taken into account.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Approaching a very classic game from a different angle with dynamic NFTs.

What we learned

By assigning features to the minted NFTs, we can develop variable features suitable for the game we have built.

What's next for Chess dNFT

To make the game more enjoyable and easy for everyone to use by feeding with a beautiful interface and illustrations.
