Inspiration
Suika Game is a game that involves combining fruit to create fruits further in the order. It’s a fun and engaging game that can be played continuously. We wondered how we could use a game like Suika game to help students learn. We noticed that after playing for a while, you begin to memorize the order that the fruits come in. This made us think of chemistry. We could have elements combine to create the next element in the table so that students could start learning the order of the elements in the periodic table of elements in a fun and engaging way.
What it does
The elements combine to form the next element in the periodic table.
How we built it
We used Next js, Tailwind, and React for the website, and we used CocoCreator for the game embedded in the website.
Challenges we ran into
CocoCreator was a tool we've never used before. Some members of the team have never used Next js until this hackathon.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating the website, and each member learning more about game development and design.
What we learned
We need to plan in advance what to create, then use tools that we have more familiarity with.
What's next for ChemSuika
Add more elements.
