Chef's Kiss

Inspiration

I run a cooking club and always wondered what to do with leftover ingredients, now I don't have to.

What it does

Lets you find recipes based on the ingredients you have at hand. Simply search! Or discover new recipes with our discovery carousels.

How we built it

Used Spoonacular API, Javascript, and the React framework.

Challenges we ran into

Handling the API key, managing images and formatting them, handling nav links

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Formatting the recipe instructions, animations for the recipe cards, search functionality and cuisines.

What we learned

HTTP requests, API integration, Animations

What's next for Chef's Kiss

Account System, so users can save recipes and share them with each other.
