Inspiration
What it does
Brings best of chefs from your city to your home, preparing customized healthy meals for you. Only focuses on the New York city, as per our research we have more than 1.2 million potential customers in the city (total population more than 8 million). We plan to target only 10% of those potential customers. (As most NYC residents prefer to eat out). Plus it has enough meat for chefs as well, as based on our model we pay them much more than the average salary of a chef in the NYC. There are more than a million elderly people in NYC (60 years +), some of them would definitely like to have food prepared by someone as they often have difficulties moving around the house. Plus it's hard to find restaurant with regard to allergen information. More than 15 million people in the US have some kind of food allergy. Our Chefs need to be MA Allergen certified.
How I built it
Created a backend, in the form of APIs, so that we can expose it to multiple devices like web app or a mobile app. The underlying database as of now is Oracle relational database. Just for the purpose of demo
