Inspiration

The idea for this game came from classic cat-and-mouse cartoons and stealth games. I wanted to create a simple but tense experience where timing and observation are the key to winning.

What it does

The player controls a mouse trying to steal a piece of cheese from under a table while a cat is hiding nearby. If the cat notices the mouse while pulling the cheese, the game is lost. If the mouse retrieves the cheese without being seen, the player wins.

How I built it

I built the game as a small interactive experience with simple controls and clear win/lose conditions. The gameplay focuses on timing, visual feedback, and quick reactions. I also added buttons to restart the game and to change the background for variation.

Challenges

One of the main challenges was balancing the timing so the game feels fair but still suspenseful. Making the interactions clear and responsive while keeping the game simple was also an important challenge.
