Inspiration

This project was inspired by a real-life situation. Sometimes I want to watch movies with my family, nephews, or nieces, but I am not always sure if the content is appropriate. Even movies that seem safe can include violent or adult scenes. I wanted a smart solution that helps families enjoy movies without uncomfortable surprises.

What I Built

I built a smart content-analysis application that scans movies and videos using Gemini 3. The system detects violent or adult scenes and provides exact timestamps, allowing users to review, skip, or filter sensitive content based on their preferences.

How I Built It

The app analyzes video content using AI-powered scene understanding. Each video is processed to identify sensitive moments, which are then mapped to precise time ranges. The results are presented in a clear and simple interface so users can easily decide what to watch or skip.

Challenges

One of the main challenges was ensuring accurate detection while avoiding false positives. Another challenge was handling long videos efficiently while still providing precise timestamps for each sensitive scene.

What I Learned

Through this project, I learned how to build an AI-assisted content moderation system, work with video analysis workflows, and turn a personal problem into a practical solution. This project showed me how technology can improve family-safe viewing experiences.
