Inspiration This short film was inspired by the idea that the end of the world wouldn’t come with chaos, but with silence. Two forces facing each other for the last time. The chessboard became a metaphor for human arrogance and the illusion of control.
How it was made I designed every shot to feel monumental and still. A visual prayer made of ruins and fading light. The project was created with Sora for the visual design and Hailuo AI for animation, then edited in CapCut to synchronize movement, dust and tension.
What I learned The hardest part was keeping balance between realism and symbolism, creating a world that feels ancient yet timeless, like the calm before the universe disappears.
Result A cinematic AI short about humanity’s final move. Poetic, apocalyptic and strangely beautiful.
