Inspiration

I created CheckFlow after struggling to manage my daily tasks effectively. I wanted a simple tool to track my to-dos and mark them as done, helping me stay organized and focused.

What it does

CheckFlow allows users to list their daily tasks, mark them as completed, and review their progress. It’s a straightforward app designed to streamline task management with a clean interface.

How we built it

I used Python for the backend to handle task storage and logic, and React for the frontend to create an interactive user experience. The app connects to a local SQLite database for data persistence.

Challenges we ran into

One major challenge was ensuring the app could handle a large number of tasks without slowing down. I also faced issues with syncing the UI updates in real-time, which required careful debugging.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I’m proud of creating a minimalist yet functional app that genuinely helps with daily productivity. The smooth user experience and the ability to quickly add or complete tasks are key highlights.

What we learned

I learned how to integrate frontend and backend technologies effectively. I also gained insights into optimizing database queries and improving app performance under load.

What's next for CheckFlow - Check and done today

I plan to add features like task prioritization, reminders, and a mobile version. I also want to introduce analytics to help users track their productivity trends over time.
