Inspiration

Most startup ideas fail because of missing demand or bad economics. Our goal was to create a way to give entrepreneurs a feeling for market demand and financial viability.

We know the pain of products failing due to missing demand and bad financials.

What it does

CheckFast is a platform that helps entrepreneurs and businesses validate their digital product ideas.

Enter your idea: Input your digital product idea.
Generate keywords: Gemini converts your idea into relevant keywords.
Estimate product price: Gemini provides a price estimate based on your idea.
Assess market demand: We analyse search volume for similar products.
Market & Financial Analysis: We create a Google Spreadsheet with key metrics, including total addressable market, customer acquisition cost, customer lifetime value, and profit & loss statement, all based on Google Search Data.

How we built it

We built CheckFast using a combination of Google services, including Gemini. We started by building a simple python script to chain the different parts of the process together – and then we built the infrastructure around it to make this project accessible to others. Working with traditionally very spreadsheet-based data forced us to learn a lot about financials and Excel along the way.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges we faced was integrating the different services together, and making sure we respected the usage limits and concurrency in a graceful way.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

In five days, we've had 120 users test our product through word-of-mouth alone. We believe this is quite an unique use case for Google’s services, and are excited to see how much we could bring together in a couple of weeks. We also discovered the power of combining multiple services into one product.

What we learned

Working with traditionally very spreadsheet-based data forced us to learn a lot about financials and Excel formulas along the way, and reiterate quite a bit on which metrics actually bring value.

What's next for CheckFast

We keep building! Next, we plan to launch on Product Hunt to gather user feedback and refine CheckFast further. We also want to use Gemini to create user personas of potential early adopters and a product summary. Based on our initial user feedback, we're confident that CheckFast can bring significant value to businesses and entrepreneurs.
