Inspiration
The inspiration for ChatHub came from observing how users often switch between different AI platforms to compare responses and get comprehensive insights. I wanted to create a unified solution that would streamline this process and save users' time.
What it does
ChatHub is an all-in-one AI client that enables users to interact with multiple AI models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and others) simultaneously. Users can send one prompt and receive responses from different AI models in parallel, making it easy to compare outputs and gather diverse perspectives.
How I built it
The application was built using modern web technologies, implementing API integrations with various AI providers. The architecture focuses on parallel processing to handle multiple AI requests efficiently, with a clean and intuitive user interface for seamless interaction.
Challenges I ran into
- Managing multiple API rate limits and handling responses asynchronously
- Ensuring consistent formatting across different AI model outputs
- Implementing real-time streaming responses from various providers
- Optimizing performance with multiple concurrent API calls
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
- Created a unified interface for multiple AI models
- Implemented efficient parallel processing of requests
- Developed a user-friendly experience for comparing AI responses
- Built a scalable system that can easily integrate new AI models
What I learned
- Deep understanding of various AI APIs and their unique characteristics
- Advanced async programming techniques
- The importance of user experience in complex applications
- Performance optimization strategies for multi-source data handling
What's next for ChatHub
- Adding more AI model integrations
- Implementing advanced comparison tools and analytics
- Developing collaborative features for team usage
- Creating custom prompt templates and sharing capabilities
- Expanding mobile support and cross-platform compatibility
