My inspiration was through my learning and knowledge of web-based building and promotions and marketing. It's mostly for my own small businesses, but also for small business websites and whatnot. And then getting involved with AI and finding these new amazing tools. I'm just totally re-inspired and reinvigorated to build more and more. And the hackathon is a great way for me to build something. And bring it to light for people who might not really use AI yet or are a bit afraid of it. I found it to be a possible gateway for them to find it to be easy to use and very powerful in their promotions and marketing material. Whether it's from a small local business owner to someone who's doing even a national campaign, which is kind of what my demo is.

What it does is people come to the site, they could pre-write a little bit of information or have it in their head, but then they come to the site, they go follow through our nice easy walkthrough form, fill out some form boxes or select some of the topical buttons we have, and then hit go and it creates a beautiful press release plus three social media posts. Plus, on the basic level, they can also get three Facebook ads and our custom written and designed, easy to follow, 27 page Facebook ads blueprint course for local businesses and people who aren't really familiar with Facebook ads.

The way I built this was I had an idea that I was building on a different local business thing, but I've also been using GoHighLevel, but then I realized that's all so complicated, so I decided to make something super easy and usable and functional for people who are not familiar with AI or are a little bit timid about utilizing it. Basically, you can take the AI off of local press AI. And just use it as a functional marketing tool and AI does everything for them in the background.

Thinking through the idea, I kind of outlined it and then I ran it with GPT. Sometimes I use Gemini a little bit. But then I came up with the business outline and I had Gemini actually whittle down a very clear prompt that I could put into Bolt.new. And Bolt.new pretty much made the site as we see it on the first prompt. And then I only just kind of tweaked and dialed it. And then I added on the Facebook advertising stuff a little bit after.

I think the biggest challenges I ran into was learning to vibe chat to develop some of the programming challenges and help me to clarify my iterations before I went in and vibe coded with Bolt.new. And what I really learned was that instead of letting Bolt.new run with an idea, I would tell it to please listen and tell me you understand, let's clarify. And then once we refined the idea, then I would have it build it and it would do a great job on filling out the things that I needed.

What I'm mostly proud of about this is that I really think it's a gateway to get people who are unfamiliar with technology or haven't used it for marketing and they don't have the budget for an agency to get in and create some beautiful work. And just based off of their idea, an announcement, something special about their business, I mean, maybe it's a new property for a realtor or a special deal for a restaurant, or somebody has a whole new product like I have here. They can create the press release, blog post, or a newsletter type of post, and really run with it with everything we've created here. So it's a really turnkey marketing platform in a tight little bundle that's easy for people to use and they don't have to be afraid of it.

What I've really learned is vibe coding isn't just a jump in and make it fly and go type of thing. I mean, it can happen, but it takes some practice on figuring it out. But it really opened my eyes to the way we can structure things, and I've actually got several other projects in the works, but time is an essence, and I'm going to be lucky to just get this submitted.

What's next for Local Press AI is to go on with a pre-launch and start networking to potential partnerships and setting up some Facebook ads and promotions, of course using our own tool here, doing lots of demonstration, social media, YouTube, and then also just really working on those partnerships and networking and potentially I'm really building this thing into something that can really get traction and grow. I feel that it's an honestly good and useful project and I look forward to seeing it start to take flight.
