As a Gen Z student constantly tethered to my smartphone yet navigating the academic rigors of college, the concept of integrating AI to streamline learning resonated deeply. Chatemy was born from a desire to harness AI's power not just for convenience, but as a tool to enrich and personalize the educational journey.

What I Learned The journey of creating Chatemy was as much a learning experience for me as the app aims to be for its users. Diving into the world of AI, chatbot technology, and particularly, familiarizing myself with Convex for data storage, I navigated new territories of tech development. The initial challenge was steep; Convex was uncharted territory. However, the simplicity and efficiency of Convex, once mastered, highlighted the importance of resilience and adaptability in the face of new challenges.

How I Built It Chatemy came to life through a combination of cutting-edge technologies and a commitment to creating a user-centric learning environment. Utilizing React Native enabled a seamless, cross-platform mobile application, while Node.js formed the backbone of the server-side operations. The integration of Convex for secure and real-time data handling was pivotal, ensuring that every course chat was not only accessible but protected. Leveraging OpenAI's API, I imbued Chatemy with the capability to offer personalized, engaging, and intelligent tutoring experiences.
