NEC Chatbot Project Project Overview The NEC Chatbot is an AI-powered conversational assistant designed to provide automated responses and assist users with their queries efficiently. The project aimed to create an intelligent chatbot capable of understanding user inputs, delivering relevant responses, and enhancing user engagement.

My Role in the Project Iam contributed to two key areas:

Frontend Development – Designing and developing the user interface for a seamless chatbot interaction. Knowledge Gathering – Collecting and organizing information to enhance the chatbot’s ability to provide accurate and useful responses. Project Features

  1. User Interface (UI) Design Created an intuitive and user-friendly chat window using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Ensured a responsive design for smooth interaction on different devices. Implemented a clean and modern UI layout to improve user experience.
  2. Chatbot Functionality Integrated Natural Language Processing (NLP) to enable the chatbot to understand user queries. Developed a structured flow for conversations, ensuring logical responses. Implemented features like quick replies, error handling, and fallback responses to improve accuracy.
  3. Knowledge Base Development Gathered essential data and FAQs to improve chatbot response accuracy. Organized and structured the data to enable efficient retrieval of answers. Collaborated with the backend team (if applicable) to ensure seamless data integration. Technologies Used Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (for UI design and interactivity) Backend : Python Flask NLP & AI Database: MySQL (for storing user queries and responses) Challenges Faced & Solutions Ensuring accurate chatbot responses – Addressed by refining the knowledge base and improving intent recognition. Creating a responsive UI – Used CSS Flexbox/Grid and optimized designs for different screen sizes. Handling complex queries – Implemented a fallback mechanism to direct users to additional support if needed. Project Outcome & Impact Developed a fully functional interactive chatbot with an engaging UI. Improved customer engagement and query resolution efficiency. Gained hands-on experience in UI/UX design, chatbot development, and AI integration.
